Inspections are completed with a visual inspection as well as utilizing sophisticated moisture detection equipment to determine areas that may be of concern. This allows us to obtain the proper samples whether it be swab, tape lift, bulk or air sampling in the proper locations and provide the most accurate mold testing lab results.

What’s Mold and Where Can it be Found

Mold is a type of fungus that grows in our natural environment. When exposed to excess water or humidity, mold spores-tiny microscopic seeds can be found virtually everywhere, including homes and businesses. They travel thru both Indoor and Outdoor air continually and can grow on many building materials or furnishings. When mold spores land on a damp or moist location they begin to grow and digest or feed on the material for which they have come into contact with, treating the material as a food source. Mold takes three major things to grow, water, oxygen and food source. Excess moisture or water in an indoor environment can give mold the fuel it needs to grow, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or unaddressed.
